1. The Bronagh Coffey Fund:
This is a bursary that was set up by the Coffey / Hurley family to assist in 3rd level education.
2. Monty’s Education Bursary:
TOUCH Ireland holds a fundraising meal night in Monty’s Restaurant (Nepalese) in Temple Bar, Dublin. This is an annual fundraising night to support children in our projects in Kathmandu, Nepal, who will soon be finishing school or in a position to start a course to secure their future.
3. Fate Restaurant Education Bursary
The Fate Education Bursary Fund was set up in conjunction with Fate Restaurant in 2016. This bursary was a result of the fundraising ‘Meal Night’ in aid of third level education for Children at our Zambian Projects. This bursary will support youths through College/ Skills Training for the next three years.
This fundraising night is held on annually in Fate Restaurant Naas in place of ‘The Tony Roma’s Education Bursary’. On our trip to Zambia this year we identified four students in Lusaka, Zambia that TOUCH Ireland agreed would be recipients of the Fate Education Bursary.
4. TOUCH Ireland Education group:
The committee is coordinated by Pauline McHugh Assistant Director, TOUCH Ireland and consists of people with an interest in education. This committee is tasked with the responsibility of raising the funds required to operate this project and the project has its own account.
Every year €1000 is allocated to TOUCH Zambia to be allotted to schools in Kaoma district, Western Province to enable disadvantaged children to play sports.
